The Indipro Tools’ Fusion Charger (Model: PD-M2S) features a 16.8V/2.5A charging output and a regulated 12V/6A, four-pin XLR DC output for powering cameras, lights and other devices in the field. It also supports 90-250VAC or 47-63Hz of power input. With a working temperature of 14 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 to 40 degrees Celsius), the Fusion Charger can operate just about anywhere that extreme temperatures might exist. Additionally, at just over four pounds (1820g) and 9.5 x 8.25 x 3-inches (240 x 210 x 78-mm) in size, the charger integrates nicely into any mobile workflow.

If you’re playing on console, this is where the funky controls come in. While holding down the ‘left’ button, you’ll need to pump the right trigger – or press it lots of times, to you and me – to charge the battery. It’s supposed to mimic the pumping action Artyom makes on the portable battery charger, but mostly, it’s a bit annoying.

The funding will enable Zhao’s team to continue developing a high-density, 300-kilowatt, silicon-carbide solar inverter, a critical power electronic device to link solar power arrays to the national power grid. Zhao’s technology is intended to lower the cost of electricity produced by photovoltaic farms.

Honda also has made a big commitment to hydrogen. There are currently nearly 1,100 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell vehicles on the road in the U.S., said Natalie Kumaratne, a Honda spokeswoman. Honda only offers the Clarity Fuel Cell in California for lease — it offers battery electric power and hybrid versions of the car for lease or sale. Out of the 20,174 total Claritys sold or leased in 2018, 624 were fuel cell variants, 948 were battery-electrics, and 18,602 were the plug-in hybrid.

SiC excels over Si as a semiconductor material in 600 V and higher-rated breakdown voltage devices. SiC Schottky diodes at 600- and 1200-V ratings are commercially available and accepted as the best solution for efficiency improvement in power converters. Figure 2 illustrates an example of using SiC devices in an EV battery charger, which was developed at North Carolina State University.

Amada Miyachi America has introduced the MM-400A desktop resistance weld checker. Originally, the Volt was to be a sleek, futuristic five-seat vehicle built to hold a battery and a new three-cylinder engine to generate electricity, said Navigant Research analyst Sam Abuelsamid. But because of GM’s financial problems, the project was scaled back and became a modified version of the Chevrolet Cruze compact car with only four seats and many parts from other GM vehicles, he said.
